MEDICARE PART D DISCLOSURE DUE
MARCH 1, 2017

 

FOR CALENDAR YEAR GROUP HEALTH PLANS

 

This is a reminder that calendar year group health plans which offer prescription drug coverage must submit their annual disclosure of the “creditable” (or non-creditable) status of their drug plan to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (“CMS”) by Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

 

The disclosure must be submitted online using the official “Disclosure to CMS Form” which may be accessed and completed at www.cms.gov.  There are required data fields that must be populated in order to generate a disclosure to CMS.Detailed instructions on how to complete the form are available on the website.

 

The due date for non-calendar year group health plans to submit the disclosure to CMS is 60 days from the beginning date of the plan year.
